How do I create a transaction?

Sign in, go to your dashboard, and click Create Transaction. Enter the item name, price, and your buyer's email (or WhatsApp number for an Easy Transaction guest link). We generate a secure payment link to send to your buyer.

How does a buyer pay?

The buyer opens the payment link, reviews the item price plus fees, and pays via bank transfer. Funds are held in escrow immediately -- the seller is notified but does not receive the money yet.

How does the seller get paid?

Once the buyer confirms they received the item (or the delivery window closes without a dispute), funds are released automatically to the seller's registered bank account.

What does XcrowPay cost?

A tiered escrow fee (0.19%-7% depending on transaction size, see our Pricing page) plus a flat ₦100 service fee, both paid by the buyer at checkout on top of the item price.

What payment methods are supported?

Bank transfer in Nigerian Naira (NGN), processed through our licensed payment partner, Korapay.

Can I get a refund?

If a transaction is cancelled before delivery, or a dispute is resolved in the buyer's favour, the buyer is refunded the transaction amount (the service fee is non-refundable).

What happens if there's a problem with an order?

Either party can open a dispute before funds are released. This locks the escrowed funds while our team reviews evidence from both sides (screenshots, delivery proof, chat records) and makes a final determination.

Why do I need to verify my identity (KYC)?

Identity verification unlocks higher transaction limits and protects both buyers and sellers from fraud. Limits scale with your verification tier.

My bank details don't match my verified name -- what do I do?

Payment release is checked against your verified (BVN/KYC) name. Make sure the name on your bank account and the name in your XcrowPay profile match exactly to avoid delays.
